A Place for Writers: Online and On the Isle of Mull

This class awakens our creative voice and shows us how beautiful writing can reflect rich ethnographic research and theoretical rigor.

Keisha-Khan Y Perry, Associate Professor of Africana Studies, University of Pennsylvania

Working on writing is also working on thinking; I never would have arrived at the insights I did without this course.

Danilyn Rutherford, President of the Wenner Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research

CREATIVELY was the perfect space for me to hone my writing skills as I set off on revising my book manuscript. 10/10!

Carole McGranahan, Professor of Anthropology, University of Colorado Boulder

Online

Field Studio offers classes (both online and on the Isle of Mull) for writers of different levels and backgrounds seeking to hone their craft. We work with, amongst others, academics who would like to integrate more creative elements into their writing, writers who hope to bring nature and research into their creative work, and adults, teens, and children encountering creative writing for the first time. Field Studio provides a place for dreaming the world into language.
